Pleasant but modest American Foursquare; bold bargeboards accent gable dormer; broad gable-front porch is not common on this house form, though supported by squat Tuscan pillars raised on brick pedestals; Craftsman 3/1 sash windows; Carr (1867-1951), bookkeeper at Kramer Bros. Lumber Co., was former owner of The Arqus in Goldsboro; remains in family ownership.
